Celebration Of Food Launch

To kick off the month long Celebration of Food, Averys have teamed up with Food Magazine to create a wine and food tasting event in the heart of Bristol.

Guests will be greeted with a glass of fizz and will then be able to move between the various food and wine matching stations in our historic cellars.

There will be a wide variety of locally produced gourmet foods to sample, all of which will be expertly paired with wines from the Averys range.

Food producers confirmed so far are: Trethowans Dairy, Capreolus Fine Foods, Source and Swinkys.

Not only will you be able to try everything on the night but you won't have to leave empty handed as everything will be available to purchase. Furthermore we'll be offering exclusive discounts.

In addition to all of this there will be a big charity raffle with a fantastic selection of prizes.

Arrive at The Mount Somerset for morning coffee then watch a fabulous falconry display by Taunton based company South West Falconry. You will start by being introduced
to the birds (Hawks, Falcons and Owls), during which, the experienced falconer will explain all about their diverse histories and then give a demonstration on flying and handling the birds of prey.

After the display you will be treated to a superb three course lunch created by our award-winning Head Chef, Stephen Walker.
After lunch you will be given the opportunity to enjoy our award-winning gardens with breathtaking views over theQuantocks whilst having a large Bay Winged Hawk (Harris Hawk)follow on and fly majestically to your glove for food. There will be plenty of time to ask questions and find out everything you want to know about these amazing birds.

The walk lasts for approximately two hours regardless of weather conditions, so please check the forecast for the day and dress accordingly.
