Lundy Catch & Cook

Sat, 09 Oct 10 - 09 Oct 10

Limited places are available for a great wintery day out in North Devon.
After meeting at The King's Arms in Georgeham for coffee, we will drive you to the nearby Victorian harbour of Ilfracombe, where we will take a deep sea fishing boat out to see what can be caught, under expert local guidance.

A few hours later, (and probably a bit cold and wet!) we will return to dry land and head back to the King's, to warm our cockles, as well as to prepare, learn and cook our spoils, under the tuition of talented Head Chef Jim Harrison, and Owner (and ex Seafood Restaurant chef) Steve Cave.

You will need good sealegs, a warm set of waterproofs, and we must restrict this one to over 18's.

First come, first served on this epic seafaring day out celebrating our marine history!!

Hugh Fearnely-Whittingstall
Events such as Celebration of Food are crucial... they boost business, educate shoppers and broadcast the message that local is best, so having Somerset, Devon and Cornwall food businesses putting on events during October this year is really exciting.
