The lights were on and the staff was in place at Millennium Medical Spa in Chevy Chase when ABC 7 News stopped by on Thursday, but something was missing Dr. Hadi Rassael.
According to court records, Dr. Rassael allegedly violated the trust of several patients, and it cost him his license. The Maryland Board of Physicians suspended it last week for sexual misconduct, after an investigation revealed two patients claimed they were sexually assaulted by the doctor in his office.
The board records show Dr. Rassael who has denied all allegations is accused of having a sexual relationship with a third patient that started in the office. That woman claims she loaned the doctor approximately 0,000, and that he ended the relationship with her when he borrowed all the money I had.
To know that someone could violate your personal space like that is awful, said D.C. resident Maame Apphia. I would hope that people would know about it, even if he does get his license again.
But Dr. Rassael will have to answer to more than just the sexual accusations before he can work again. The Board of Physicians claims he is misleading patients on one of his websites, advertising that he is a board-certified plastic surgeon, something it says just isn t true.
When it comes to Dr. Rassael s lack of board certification, that basically means he hasn t been specifically trained or certified in plastic surgery, even though he lists that as his specialty.
I think that you see the white coat and the stethoscope and the M.D. on their jacket and you just believe that it is what it is, said Montgomery County resident Jessica Greenseid.
ABC 7 News reached out to Dr. Rassael for comment, but did not hear back.
