October is what foodies have been waiting for! Throughout the month, food and drink events are taking place from Bristol to the tip of Cornwall, making it the biggest food festival of its kind in the UK.

There's something for everyone, from festivals to fine dining events in individual restaurants, to fun foodie fun for kids.

There's also an Eat out for £10 dining promotion taking place across the month, so that credit-crunch hit consumers can eat at some of the best restaurants at a tasty discount.

In its ninth year this year, Celebration of Food had its biggest ever year in 2010 with over 250 events taking place across the South West with Somerset, Bath and Bristol involved for the first time too.

The Celebration is run by food magazine and the September-October issues of food will feature all of the events taking place in this year's Celebration. Pick the free magazines up at the best restaurants, cafes, delis and foodie hotels across the South West.

The festival has and continues to be supported by many big names in the South West food scene, such as Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall, Michael Caines, Nathan Outlaw, Carluccios, Mitch Tonks, Willie Harcourt Cooze, Masterchef winner Mat Follas, and Mary Berry.

For more information on the festival  please call organisers Salt Media on 01271 859299.
