Devon Celebration of Food is now over for 2008.
There were over 100 high quality foodie events put on as part of Devon Celebration of Food in October 2008. Food and drink retailers, restaurants, and foodie hotels across Devon held events at their own venues.

| RUBY COUNTRY SAFARI
Sat, 25 Oct 08 - 25 Oct 08
During the Ruby Country Safari visit Holsworthy Organics - an award winning organic vegetable box scheme, fully certified by the Soil Association where we will give tours of our smallholding as well as having a selection of our produce on sale.
We supply local fresh and seasonal vegetables to local people weekly. Our aim is to reconnect people with the food that is on their plate through providing quality produce at reasonable prices.
We also attend a number of local markets including Tavistock every Friday, Hartland Farmers Market (1st Sunday)and Launceston markets.
We use traditional organic methods with permaculture and biodynamic principles to grow wonderful vegetables, fruit and herbs that really taste as good as they look. Some of produce is made into delicious jams and chutneys using recipes created by us. The cuncumber relish is especially delicious with cheeses!
This month we will also have a wide selection of Devon and Cornish varieties of apples from our orchard available. Many of our plants are grown from seed that we have saved ourselves originating from the heritage varieties that are fast dissapearing from our landscape. Working in harmony with nature and in co-operation with other local organic growers is the key to our success.
Please contact us for more information about the boxes (which can be customised to your requirements) or any other veggi requests.
